ACCOMMODATION

Would you like to stay at Ryvarden? – A holiday, or a weekend with
friends? Or perhaps a several-days’ business meeting or course in an exceptional environment?
In the former lightkeeper’s house there are 5 bedrooms with accommodation for up to 10 people.
There is a special atmosphere created by the location. The wind can whistle round the corners of the house or the sun can shine in a cloudless sky, it’s as though here the forces of nature are undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Ground floor – sitting-room and kitchen. First floor – bathroom and 4 bedrooms for a total of 6-8 persons. Basement – 1 twin room.

Kitchen

In the kitchen there are cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery to cater for 10.
There is a stove with an oven, a microwave-oven, a dishwasher, and a refridgerator with a small freezer-compartment.
There is cleaning equipment in the cupboards, and tea-towels and dish-cothes in drawers in the kitchen-bench.

Bathroom

In the bathroom there is a shower, and floor-cables for heating.

Other equipment

The vacuum-cleaner is in the cupboard in the hall.

Heating

The house has electric heaters. There is a fireplace in the sitting-room; guests have to bring firewood if they wish to light a fire.

Water

There is municipal water supply to Ryvarden.

House rules

  • Smoking is not permitted inside The Lightkeeper’s House.
  • It is not allowed to bring dogs or other animals into the house
  • Guests are requested to use slippers / indoor-shoes.
  • NB! Make sure that all windows are closed and the catches in place when you leave.
  • Garbage must be put in the garbage-bin standing outside the gallery.
  • Enjoy your stay!

Pleace check before your depart

  • The crockery and cutlery must be clean.
  • The windows must be properly closed.
  • Used tea-towels etc. must be put in the laundry-basket in the hall.
  • Garbage must be put in the garbage-bin standing outside the gallery.
  • Make note of any damage or anything missing and report it by telephone or in writing.
  • After locking up, deliver the keys as agreed in the contract.
